I just finished a sequence of tests on the new 320TXT in 4X5 using DDX at 1:7. Dialed in an N-2 to N+1 aiming for a paper ES of 1.1 (my test results on Ilford MG FB glossy). Normal time is 10 minutes in tubes--pretty much a dream combination for general use. NOW...I want to test for extreme contrast and need guidance. I'd prefer to stick to one film, one developer. Anyone have experience with DDX in, say, a 1:15 dilution? Or would I be better off exploring another combination of film and developer all together? Thoughts? |
